Book Reviews

This book is simply amazing and I love the book for everything it represents. I am an African American mother with a daughter who has kinky and curly hair. It was truly hard to embrace my hair when I was younger but the book helped me show my daughter how to embrace her amazing coils just they way they are.

Book Reviews

Abraham Goes to the Shop was a breath of fresh air for me and my boys. With every turn of the page my boys were intrigued as each page was filled with bold vibrant colors capturing their attention. What touched my heart the most was my oldest son seeing representation of himself and his dad in the book. I've also purchased "Caroline's Hair" and "My Hair is Fuzzy my Hair is Cute" from this author, Toni NEVER disappoints. These books help start the conversation on positive self image as well as how we can appreciate each others differences.

What I loved about this book was that my son was able to relate immediately! He asked me was that little boy “Abraham” him. We sat down and read the book right away. The book was full of fun, colors, and knowledge.
