Journals can be kept for many reasons be it for tracking gratitude, releasing emotions from the past, chronicling a journey or just logging your thoughts. Keeping a journal can be freeing and reflective and in many cases leave beind insight into who we really are as people.

How does journaling bring joy?

  1. It allows for release in situation where you just need to get it out but not quite ready to share publically.
  2. It can help capture a point in time when things are happening in life and give you the ability to reflect.
  3. Journaling will shed some insight into who you really are as a person. It will cause you to identify goals and dreams that you may have tucked away in the back of your mind and now that you are being reflective bring these items to life
  4. Documenting helps you chart your course, you can see where you started and create a plan for where you want to go.  You can reflect on where you have been and decide what you wish to start, stop and continue.
  5. When you journal it gives you a voice. Sometimes what we have to say can get lost in the hustle and bustle of the world but putting your words on paper helps you solidfy what you have to say and can often times turn into a memoir that you can publish and shared with the world.

Whether you journal in a notebook or take you words to the web via a blog, know that there is power in your word and your words are freeing, uplifting and here to motivate and bring joy to others.
